PINGÜIN COLONY AT SENO OTWAY

This colony of Magellan Penguins is 70 kilometers (43 miles) to the northwest of Punta Arenas. Every year, these penguin species come back to this region to reproduce and nest, it is an area which is protected with founds from the World Wide Fund for Nature.
The penguins remain at the colony from September to March. Apart from them, there are other species of the regional fauna like the gray fox, the ñandú (a kind of ostrich) and a variety of birds.
