Departing from Punta Arenas , 60 kilometers to the south you will find the Fuerte Bulnes (Bulnes Fort). This place was the first settlement in Chile, founded in October 30th, 1843. In this area, you will also find the rests of the called "Ciudad Rey Don Felipe" (King Felipe Colony), in honor to the first failing Spanish expedition, this place is better known as Puerto del Hambre (Famine Port).
